Billie Louise Keith McDowell

Billie Louise Keith McDowell, 81, of Baconton, GA, died Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Mitchell County Medical Center. Graveside funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Leesburg Cemetery in Leesburg, GA. Rev. Tim Mathews and Rev. Bobby Moye will officiate.

Born in Willard NM., Mrs. McDowell had resided in Albany, Ga since 1959 moving from Columbus, GA and had resided in Baconton, GA for the past two months. She was formerly employed with the Dougherty County Courthouse in the law library and was a member of the Ladies of Nasah, Worth Chapter # 454 Order of the Eastern Star, Christina Court # 18 Order of the Amaranth and a member of New Hope Full Gospel Church in Sylvester, GA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifton Armor Keith and Ila Mae Farmer Keith, husband, James D. (Mac) McDowell, a son, James D. McDowell II and a daughter, Brenda McDowell Sellers.

Survivors include three daughters, Jenene Hamblin Maybury (Walt), Thacker, AZ, Debra McDowell Nichols ( Donnie), Cullman, AL, Elizabeth (Libby) McDowell Howell (Phillip), Baconton, GA, a son, Clifton Ray (Cliff) McDowell (Brenda), Cordele, GA, her Brother Charlie Keith (Julie), Moorpark, CA, a son-in-law, Mike Sellers, LaGrange, GA, 7 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews as well as other extended family members.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.
