Bevis Oscar Denby

Funeral Services for Mr. Denby will be held Friday, December 5, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Mathews Funeral Home with interment to follow at Floral Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00PM Thursday December 4, 2014.

On December 2, 2014, God told Gabriel it was time to bring Bevis Oscar Denby home. At 11:00 AM daddy drew his last breath and entered the Gates of Heaven. Bevis was born on July 15, 1921 to Oscar and Emma Fowler Denby (deceased). He fulfilled a Military Career fighting in World War II in the South Pacific Zone.

After returning home, he married Grace Lee Hall Denby on November 23, 1946, and the two of them graced the world with four daughters Emily Denby Farmer (deceased) and her husband Terry Farmer of Baconton, GA, Betty and Herman Spooner of Ashford AL, Deborah and Lonnie Summerlin of Leesburg, GA, Renee and Jeff Cato of Newton, GA. Four Grandchildren, Wanda Spooner and her husband Bill of Pansey, AL, Chris Spooner of Newburgh, IN, Matthew Cato of Tifton, GA, and Lacey Cato of Newton GA. Great-Grandchildren include Makayla Newberry of Pansey, AL, Morgan Cook of Pansey, AL, Zachary Spooner of Newburgh, IN

Pallbearers will include: Herman Spooner, Lonnie Summerlin, Matthew Cato, Christopher Spooner, Zachary Spooner, and Bill Cook
