Betty Rusk Worrell

Betty Rusk Worrell, 80, of Lee County, GA, died March 3, 2017 at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, LA. Graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 AM at Leesburg Cemetery. Mr. Ross Powell will officiate.

A native of Alexandria, LA, Mrs. Worrell was born to the late Dewey and Melissa Rusk on April 13, 1936. She graduated from Alexandria High School and married Donald L. Worrell, Sr. in 1961. After a career as a Military wife, Mrs. Worrell and her family moved to Lee County, GA in 1975 coming from Del Rio, Texas. She was a homemaker and was a Baptist by faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald L. Worrell, Sr. and a brother, Vernon Rusk.

Survivors include her children, Donnie Worrell, Jr., (Lisa), David Worrell and Melissa Davidson (Jerry), five grandchildren, Jamie Fallin, Erin Worrell, Tiffany Davidson, Donnie Worrell, III and Sydney Worrell all of Lee County, GA and two brothers, Herbert Rusk and Dewey Rusk both of Alexandria, LA.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday at Mathews Funeral Home.
