Betty Ann Rachals

Betty Ann Rachals, 76, of Baconton, GA formerly of Albany, GA died April 8, 2018 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 3:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Danny Evans will officiate. A native of Trion, GA, Mrs. Rachals moved to Albany in her early teens. She was employed with Flint River Textiles, her family owned Hass’ Grocery and Service Station and she retired from The Express Lane Convenience Stores as a District Supervisor. Mrs. Rachals loved to travel to Biloxi to the Casinos, she enjoyed reading and she was comical, quick witted and never met a stranger. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Asa Rachals. Survivors include her daughters, Mickie Johnson (Art) of Baconton, GA and Connie Morgan (David Neeley) of Lorida, FL, her grandchildren, Wendy Reed of Sale City, GA, Bo Kimsey (Jenny) of Albany, GA, Daniel Hood (Jennifer Turner of Pine Mountain Valley, GA, Carla Tripp of Tallahassee, FL and Reese Holt of Tallahassee, FL, her great-grandchildren, Brandon Strawder (Laura), Patrick Strawder (Kyley), Paul Smith, Cassidy Lentz, Charlie Kimsey and Brandi Kimsey, five great-great-grandchildren and a close, dear friend, Barbara Bodiford of Worth County, GA The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday at Mathews Funeral Home.
