Betty Ann Pitre

Betty Ann Pitre, 70, of Albany, GA, died Friday September 23, 2011 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at 3:00 P.M. at Mathews Funeral Home. Pastor Mike O'Neal and Dr. D.W.Caldwell will officiate. Interment will follow at Floral Memory Gardens Cemetery.

A native of Vienna, GA, Mrs. Pitre lived most of her life in the Albany and Lee County, GA. She was a Baptist by faith and was preceded in death by her mother, Sara Julia Hamlin Paul.

Survivors include her father, Marvin Paul of Albany, GA, two daughters, Debra Gilbert of Albany, GA and Sarah Ellis and her husband, Walter, of Phenix City, AL, a son, James Howard Lanier of Albany, GA, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday at Mathews Funeral Home.
