Betty Simpson Parlier

Betty Simpson Parlier, 82, of Albany, GA, died Thursday, April 21, 2011 at Palmyra Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:00 AM at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Ken Myers will officiate. Interment will follow at 3:00 PM at College Park Cemetery in College Park, GA.

A native of Atlanta, GA, Mrs. Parlier had resided in Albany, GA since 1995 moving from Riverdale, GA. She graduated from Hapeville High School in 1945 and was a member of Avalon United Methodist Church and the Friendship Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Alfred Parlier.

Survivors include a brother and his wife, Jack and Sarah Simpson of Lee County, GA and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday at Mathews Funeral Home.
