Betty J. O'Daniel

Betty Jane O’Daniel, 96, of Albany, GA, passed away Thursday, April 25, 2019 at Pruitt Health in Sylvester.  Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at 11:00 am at Sunnyside Baptist Church.  Rev. Terry Siniard will officiate.  Interment will be held Friday, May 3, 2019 at 11:00 am in Graceland Memorial Cemetery in Ruthdale, WV.

Betty was born in Charleston, WV to the late Guy and Virginia Childress.  She was a good and loving friend to many people; was devoted to her church and was a member of the Fidelis Sunday School Class.

In addition to her parents Betty was preceded in death by her husband Samuel Hugh O’Daniel, three brothers and two sisters.  Survivors include a daughter Lori O’Daniel, two grandchildren Nigel Glenn Graves and Nia Lin Graves, three great grandchildren Candence Maria Graves, Adrian Glenn Graves, and Avery Glenn Graves all of Austin, TX, a sister Hazel Childress of Saint Albans, WV, a special nephew Bill Shank and his wife Nan of Augusta, GA, and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Wednesday at Sunny Side Baptist Church.
