Betty Ruth McIntyre Kimbrell

Betty Ruth McIntyre Kimbrell, 88, of Albany, GA died Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at Pruitt Health Palmyra. Graveside services will be conducted Saturday, June 10, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Crown Hill Cemetery. Mr. Ross Powell will officiate.

Born in Ousley, GA in Lowndes County, to the late James D. and Susie Adams McIntyre, Mrs. Kimbrell attended Clyatte High School then moved to Albany 1951. She worked as a waitress for Howard Johnsons, was an automobile courier and was a member of Amazing Grace Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Covington Kimbrell.

Survivors include her son, Larry Hayslip of Pooler, GA, her sister-in-law, Charlene McIntyre of Albany, GA, her dear friend, John Slocumb of Albany, GA, and step-children and step-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 7:30 PM Friday at Mathews Funeral Home.
