Betty Jean Cave

Betty Jean Cave, of Albany, GA, died Thursday, March 8, 2012 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at Sherwood Baptist Church Chapel. Rev. Tom Pollock and Mr. Bailey Cave will officiate. Interment will follow at Floral Memory Gardens Cemetery.

A native of Umatilla, FL, Mrs. Cave had resided in Albany, GA, since 1957 moving from Thomasville, GA. She was a book keeper and was retired from Allstar International. She was a member of Sherwood Baptist Church where she taught the first and second grade Sunday School Class for forty eight years. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Henry Cave, Jr.

Survivors include a son and his wife, William Lee (Billy) Cave and Darlene, Albany, GA, three daughters, Kathy Jenkins, Albany, GA, Sylvia Hatcher and her husband Dewey, Albany, GA, Brenda Vinson and her husband Jim, Acworth, GA, three sisters, Laveda Clark, Huron, CA, Thelma Wilder, Monticello, FL, Pat Spears, Grand Island, FL, twelve grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.
