Betty Jane Brasington

Betty Jane Brasington passed September 5th, 2021. Born January 18, 1948, daughter of the late Rueben Bence and Lois Fincher Bence. Until the last few years (bad health), she was a fiery red head filled with energy. She raised three sons, while also being a welder, a licensed realtor, a trim carpenter and a nurse. She was giving & provided a home & food to many more youth, other than her own kids. She loved to dance, cook & lay on Panama City beach until she was as red as a lobster. She had a boisterous laugh, that turned heads. We will all miss her spirit, her laughter and her hugs. She was preceded in death by her husband Rodney Brasington Sr.; her sons John & David Brasington. She is survived by her son Rodney "Robby" Brasington Jr. & his wife Chrisie ; her brother Jimmy Bence & his wife Linda; her Grandchildren – Chris Brasington, Kristen Liles , JD Brasington , Alex Brasington, Rod Brasington, Byron Brasington & David Wade Brasington; her nieces Teresa Brasington, Mary Windsor, Rachel & Kathy Bence, Keri Scott; nephews Steve Brasington, Tony Davis, Donnie & Ronald Bence; her many great grandchildren, great nieces & nephews; & many friends she considered family. She will have a “Celebration of Life” gathering of family & loved ones, between 10:30 AM – 1;00 PM on Saturday Sept 18th next to the VFW at 315 Philema Rd , Albany, Ga 31701 We will leave at 2 pm to scatter her and her husband's ashes about 80 miles from Albany. Please bring pictures to share and show (pics will be returned at the conclusion). Masks are welcome and encouraged for everyone.
