Betty Jo Adams

Betty Jo Adams, 80, of Calhoun County, GA, died Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at Willson Hospice House. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 AM at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Jean Watson will officiate. Interment will follow in Floral Memory Gardens Cemetery.

A native of Laurens County, GA, born to the late Marvin E. and Lollie Mae Ellis, Mrs. Adams grew up in Albany, GA and graduated from Albany High School. She had lived in Calhoun County, GA since 1953. Ms. Adams was a member of Cordray United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Curtis B. Adams of Calhoun County, GA, a daughter and her husband, Donna Adams and Jamil Saba of Albany, GA, a sister and her husband, Gail and James Wildes of Elijay, GA, two grandchildren, Lauren Adams of Tampa, FL and Jason C. Boyd and his wife, Amanda of Lee County, GA and one great-granddaughter, Kay Grace Boyd. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Kay Adams Boyd.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 5:30 PM until 6:30 PM at Mathews Funeral Home.
