Bettina Courtney Lester

Bettina Courtney Lester, 55, of Lee County, GA, died June 2, 2019, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, June 8, 2019, at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Aaron McCulley will officiate. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Sylvester, GA.

Bettina was a native of Tifton, GA and was born on October 8, 1963, to the late William Fiveash and Betty Jean Griffith. She grew up in Lee County and graduated from Lee County High School in 1981 and Darton College in 1983. She cared for her mother and father for many years during their extended illness. She supported children's, Christian and animal causes. She was a member of Byne Memorial Baptist Church and loved to visit Panama City Beach, FL.

Survivors include her fiancée, David Morell of Lee County, GA, her daughter and her husband, Danielle Lester Whidden and Travis Whidden of Albany, GA, a brother and his wife, David and Chris Fiveash of Columbus, GA, and two grandchildren, Sophia Whidden and Brantley Duncan.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Saturday at Mathews Funeral Home.
