Ben Jacks, Jr

Ben Jacks, Jr., 87 of Albany, GA, died Sunday, January 17, 2016 at his residence. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Charlie Rouse will officiate. Interment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.

Born in Gobey, TN, Mr. Jacks, Had resided in Albany, GA since 1950 moving from Tennessee. He was employed with Lykes Brother Packing Co. until their closing and worked with Gieryic's Automotive Repair. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his parents, Ben Jacks, Sr. and Elsie Hines Jacks, a daughter, Karole Jan Stroud, his wife, Dorothy Aileen Wilson Jacks and three sisters, Thelma Garrett, Aileen Hamby and Helen Hurst.

Survivors include three daughters, Kay Jacks Parker (Richard), Albany, GA, Sheryl Jacks Phillips (Donnie), Leesburg, GA, Jill Jacks Coffey (Joey), Albany, GA, eight grandchildren, Paul Parker, Matthew Parker, Ladonna Phillips Urick all of Albany, GA, Lacey Phillips Neil, Warner Robins, GA, Phillip Phillips, Albany, GA, Brandi Stroud Hunter, Leesburg, GA, Dianna Stroud Atkinson, Ashburn, GA and Karole Lynn Stroud, Tifton, GA and eleven great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. until the funeral hour at Mathews Funeral Home.
