Barry Franklin Tennison

Barry Franklin Tennison, 52, of Lee County, GA, died January 7, 2015 at his residence. Graveside funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:00 PM at Leesburg Cemetery. Rev. Charles Jones will officiate.

A native of Athens, AL, Barry grew up in Albany, GA and graduated from Albany High School in 1980. He moved to Lee County, GA from Pelham, GA in 2005. He was employed with United Parcel Service for many years and was preceded in death by his father, James F. Tennison.

Survivors include a son, Brice Tennison of Albany, GA, daughter, Kathryn Tennison, a grandson, Kimani Fisher, his mother, Ann Tennison, a brother and his wife, Scott and Heidi Tennison and his nieces, Kelsey Sheffield, Bailey Tennison and Samantha Tennison all of Lee County, GA and his grandmother, Winnie Tennison of Athens, AL.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Saturday at Mathews Funeral Home.
