Barbara Jean Wright

Barbara Smith Wright, 75, of Albany, GA passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 25, 2016. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Lakeside Baptist Church, 2806 N Jefferson Street, Albany, GA 31701. Pastor Ken Chancellor will officiate. A graveside commitment will follow in Macon, GA at 4:00 p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery, 3000 Evergreen Drive, Macon, GA 31206.

A native of Macon, GA, Mrs. Wright was born to the late Rahl Toombs Smith and late Carmel Joyner Smith. As the loving nurturer of three sons, she was very active in the social, school and sporting activities of her sons. She was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church and for many years, she was a member of Byne Memorial Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her brother, Rahl T. Smith, Jr.

Mrs. Wright is survived by her dedicated husband of 55 years, Clay Wright, son, Keith Wright, son, Todd Wright and his wife, Christine, and son, Mark Wright and his wife Erin; granddaughter, Marin Wright, grandson, Sean Long, grandson, Chandler Wright and wife, Taylor; great-granddaughter, Molly Wright and great-grandson, Matthew Wright.

A visitation for family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m. before the service at the church.
