Barbara Jean Taylor

Barbara Jean Waldorf Taylor, 77, of Georgetown, GA died Monday, September 10, 2018 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, September 14, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Bobby Paul will officiate.

Born in Ithaca, New York, Mrs. Taylor had resided in Georgetown, GA for the past thirty years. She was a homemaker and attended Albany Family Worship Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph George Waldorf and Thauna Linette Hilton Waldorf, her sister Sandra Moore, and her brother Ralph Waldorf, Jr.

Survivors include four sons, Dennis Thompson (Kathy), Albany, GA, Joey Thompson (Charlene), Dawson, GA, Mike Thompson (Ardel), Lawrenceville, GA, Ralph Thompson, Albany, GA, two daughters, Denise Stempinski (Neil), Leesburg, GA, Debra Thompson, Leesburg, GA, brother Fred Waldorf, Albany, GA, three sisters, Sally Tanner, Tallahassee, FL, Karen Ruffina, Ithaca, NY, Debra Pias, TN, twenty grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, a special niece, Cindy McCray, Tallahassee, FL, and beloved dog, Stryker.

The family is at the residence of Debra Thompson, 117 Augustus Dr., Leesburg, GA, 31763.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.
