Barbara Ruth (Bobbie) Pines

Barbara Ruth (Bobbie) Pines, 77, of Smithville, GA died January 13, 2012 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00 AM at Mathews Funeral Home. Pastor Jason Spears will officiate. Interment will follow in the Smithville City Cemetery.

A native of Floyd County, GA, born to the late Floyd and Myrtice Caldwell, Mrs. Pines grew up in Smithville, GA and graduated from Lee County High School. She was a homemaker, a member of the Smithville Baptist Church and the Chit Chat Club. She was employed with the Manhattan Shirt Company for thirty six years. Mrs. Pines was preceded in death by her husband, James Arnold Pines and Geneva and Wyatt Caldwell who loved and raised her.

Survivors include two children and their spouses, Pete and Debra Pines and Gayle and Keith Ambrose all of Lee County, GA, nine grandchildren, Jason Wiggins and Nick Wiggins and his wife, Tish, all of Albany, GA, Jenna Wiggins, Chase Pines, Caleb Pines and Judah Pines all of Lee County, GA, Conley Pines of Atlanta, GA, Colby Pines of Athens, GA and Brian Ambrose of Albany, GA, two great-grandchildren, Lan Wiggins and Drake Wiggins both of Albany, GA and a half-sister, Nita Folds of Stockbridge, GA and two sisters-in-law, Kaye Sikes of Minneapolis, MN and Geraldine Sikes of Hampton, GA.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM Sunday at Mathews Funeral Home.
