Barbara Grace Holton

Barbara Grace Holton, 81, of Lee County, GA, died March 16, 2018 at her residence.  Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00 AM at Mathews Funeral Home.  Dr. Todd Sullens will officiate.  Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery.

A native of Macon, GA, Mrs. Holton was born to the late Orin and Christine Stripling, Sr.  She moved to Albany, GA and she moved to Lee County, GA in 1975.  Mrs. Holton was employed with The Boys and Girls Club in Albany, was a long time employee of Albany Orthopedic Center and she retired from the Sowega Council on Aging as the Eastside Director.  Mrs. Holton was a former member of the Albany Women’s Club and was a member of the Eastside Church of Christ.  She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Stephanie Hatcher and three siblings , Orin H. Stripling, Jr, Richard H. Stripling and Gail S. Wolff.

Survivors include her children, Tony (Shirley)  Morris of Worth County, GA, Denise (Lamar) Hatcher, Lisa (James) Isler and Chris Morris all of Lee County, GA, a brother, Marvin Stripling of Houghton Lake, MI, a sister, Virginia (Henry) Ybarra of Dearborn, MI, six grandchildren, Selena (Ramsey) Atkinson of Panama City Beach, FL, Brittany (Eric) Pearce of Blairsville, GA, Stephen (Jennifer) Hatcher of Lee County, GA, Wendy (Ryan) King of Jacksonville, FL, Brian Isler and Keith Isler both of Lee County, GA and two great-grandchildren, Conner Pearce and Jace Pearce.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Sunday at Mathews Funeral Home.
