Barbara Jean Cheshire

Barbara Heuton Cheshire, 66, of Lee County, GA, died August 31, 2017 at the Willson Hospice House. Graveside funeral services will be held Sunday September 3, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at the Leesburg Cemetery. Rev. Davis Thurman will officiate. A native of Carroll, Iowa, Mrs. Cheshire had resided in Lee Co., GA for the past fifty years. She was retired from Security Bank and was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil Heuton and Leida Peters Heuton and a son and daughter-in-law, Lee and Kelly Cheshire. She was of the Baptist faith. Barbara was a devoted friend and spectacular grandmother. Her grandchildren where the light of her life and she was the most devoted “Grandma” anyone could ask for. She will be loved and missed by all. Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Ben Cheshire, Jr., a daughter and her husband, Stacey and Kevin Scott, all of Lee Co., GA, her step mother, Gladyes Heuton Storm Lake, Iowa her grandchildren, Jordan Cheshire, Kris Cheshire, Til Cheshire, Hailey Scott, Kyndall Scott, Jackson Scott and Lauren Davis all of Lee County, GA and a brother, Steve Heuton, Tampa, FL.
