Barbara Baugh

Barbara Marsh Baugh, 86, of Dawson, died Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at Accent Hospice in Cumming, GA.

Her funeral service will be Saturday, December 9, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Dawson United Methodist Church with interment to follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.  Rev. Allen Carmichael will officiate.

A native of Ozark, AL, Mrs. Baugh had lived in Dawson most of her life.  She was a teacher for 40 years.  She taught in Americus School System, where she also coached basketball, then with Dougherty County School System and retiring from the Terrell County School System. 

She was an active member of Dawson United Methodist Church, she loved to read her Bible and also published three books, “The House That Gave”, “Eternal Love” and “Manners”.

Survivors include her husband, Steve Baugh, son, Steven Baugh (Kristin), grandchildren, Chandler, Griffin and Sadie, brother, Kermit Marsh, aunt, Sue Drapalik, cousins, Sallie Calhoon, Sue Cowart, and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at Dawson United Methodist Church.
