Arby C. Richards, Jr., 68, of Leesburg, GA, died Thursday, May 2, 2013 at his residence. No services have been arranged at this time.
A native of Clopton, AL, Mr. Richards was a builder and had previously worked with Carrol Givens Construction Co. a Vietnam veteran serving in the Air Force, an avid sportsman and was of the Baptist faith. He also was a big sports fan; he loved watching his Alabama Crimson Tide, Georgia Bulldogs, and Atlanta Braves. He was preceded in death by his father, Arby C. Richards, Sr., a son, Joseph Terry Richards, a sister, Shirley Richards Boyd, a son-in-law, Harry Adams, and a sister-in-law, Virginia Richards.
Survivors include his wife, Sybil McDonald Richards, Leesburg, GA, two sons, Trey Richards (Paula), Leesburg, GA, Chad Everett Richards (Tim Gumble), St. Augustine, FL, a daughter, Sonya E. Adams, Leesburg, GA, his mother, Georgia Lou Trawick Richards, Napier Field, AL, six brothers, George Richards (Edna), Wicksburg, AL, William E. Richards, Napier Field, AL, Larry M. Richards (Teresa), Midland City, AL, Johnny Ray Richards, Blakely, GA, Michael A. Richards and Marty Richards both of Napier Field, AL, a sister, Cathy Sprouse (Mark), Dothan, AL, four grandchildren, Matt Shipman (Morgan), Albany, GA, Joey Adams, Atlanta, GA, Ethan Richards, Albany, GA, Raegan Richards, Albany, GA and a great-grandchild, Tristan Adams, Leesburg, GA.
