Anthony "Tony" D. Turner

Anthony “Tony” D. Turner, 49, of Lee County, died Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at his residence. 

His funeral service will be held Sunday 2:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home with interment to follow in Cordray United Methodist Church Cemetery.  Rev. Patrick Minarovich will officiate. 

Born in Asmara, Ethiopia, Tony had lived most of his life in the Albany area before moving to the family farm.  He worked at Merck until the local plant closed and then worked for Barber Petroleum.

He is survived by his daughters, Emily Turner, Macon, Kimberly Turner, Lutz, FL, his wife and the mother of his children, Stephanie Turner, Lutz, FL.  sister, Wendy Turner and her children, Gainesville, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents John D. Turner and Beatrice G. Cox. 

The family will receive loved ones Sunday 1:00 to 2:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home.
