Anthony Glen Thompson

Anthony Glen Thompson, 57, of Albany, GA, died June 12, 2024 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.   Memorial services will be held Monday June 17, 2024 at 6:00 pm at Mathews Funeral Home.  Rev. Aaron McCulley will officiate.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 6:00 pm before the service on Monday.

Glen was born in Albany, GA on February 8, 1967 to Dale Thompson and Sylvia Harden Thompson.  He grew up in Albany and graduated from Albany High School in 1985.  Glen remained in Albany all of his life and was the co-owner of South Georgia Dental Lab.   He loved racing on the round track and was a member of the Thompson Racing Team # 31 for over thirty years.   He was preceded in death by his father, Dale Thompson.

Survivors include his mother, Sylvia “Sibbie” Harrington and his brother, Mark (Laura) Thompson all of Lee County, GA and his nieces and nephews, Zachary Deese of Thomasville, GA, Callie Thompson Sealy, Daniel Thompson and Sam Thompson all of Lee County, GA.
