Annie Laura Busby

Annie Laura Busby, 76, of Albany, GA, died Monday, January 7, 2013, at Phoebe North Medical Center. Funeral Services will be Friday January 11, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Douglas Haught will be officiating. Interment will be at 3:00 p.m. at Union Primitive Cemetery in Miller County.

A native of Baker County, Mrs. Busby had resided in Albany, GA for the past 52 years. She loved children and worked as a childcare provider for many years. She was a homemaker, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother with a passion for reading.
Mrs. Busby was a member of Beattie Road Church of Christ and was preceded in death by her brother, Benton Cloud.

Survivors include her loving husband of 59 years, Daniel Busby of Albany, two sons Boyd Busby (Laura), and David Busby all of Albany, a daughter Barbara Williams (Danny Wilson) of Columbus, GA, five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Geneva Shiver (Raymond) of Leary, GA and Mary Cloud of Albany.

The family will receive friends Thursday, January 10, 2013, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.
