Anna Raye “Ann” Enfinger, 88, of Albany, GA, died Sunday morning, June 25, 2023 at her residence with her son and granddaughter by her side. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at Mathews Funeral Home at 11:00 am. Rev. Debbie Cone will officiate. Entombment will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery.
Ann was born on October 19, 1934 in Houston County, AL to Ezra and Lottie. She grew up in Dothan, AL. Ann graduated from Slocumb High School in 1953 and met the love of her life, Ed Enfinger. They married shortly after, had a son Eric in 1954, and moved to Thomasville before moving to Albany in 1959.
She was employed with Commercial Credit Group for many years. Ann was an active member of Avalon United Methodist Church, The Pairs and Spares Sunday School Class and was the Chairperson of the Benevolent Program. Ann loved to work in her yard, do puzzles, and was the best cook. She was also a great seamstress; she thoroughly enjoyed sewing. Ann loved to take care of others, especially her family and friends. She was known for always extending her kindness to anyone or anything in need.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Enfinger in 2006 and her siblings, Fredrick, T.B., Jack, Pete, Inez, Louise, and Lucille.
Survivors include her son, Eric Enfinger, and a granddaughter she helped raise, Kacey Enfinger both of Albany, GA and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Mathews Funeral Home.
