Anita Ellerbe Moody

Anita Ellerbe Moody, 63 of Leesburg, GA, died Thursday, January 31, 2013 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Memorial services will be conducted Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at Friendship Baptist Church of Lee County. Rev. David Goodson, Dr. Duane Logsdon and Rev. Mark Spraggins will officiate.

A native of Waynesville, NC, Mrs. Moody had resided in Leesburg, GA since 1982 moving from Albany, GA. She was retired from Synovus Financial as the vice-president in 2000. She was a member of the AHPEO local chapter, she was a member of the Leesburg Community Chorus and was an active member at Friendship Baptist Church of Lee County where she taught Sunday School and sang in the choir.

She was a loving mother and devoted grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved traveling with her husband. Survivors include her husband, James (Jim) Moody, Leesburg, GA, a son, Chip Edwards (Pat) and a daughter, Melissa Grubbs (Austin) all of Lee Co., GA, her mother, Margie Hamby, Leesburg, GA, a brother, Michael Ellerbe, Valdosta, GA, a step-son, James (Jamie) Moody, Spring Hill, FL, two step-daughters, Kelley Bass (Jimmy), Newnan, GA, Tracey Rowell (Rick), Marietta, GA, five grandchildren, Cody Edwards, Anna Edwards, Connor Edwards, Samuel Grubbs , Emily Grubbs, six step-grandchildren, Spenser Wilkinson, Rene Jones, Harris Bass, Dallas Moody, Luke Rowell and Alec Rowell.

The family will receive friends following the services at Friendship Baptist Church of Lee County.
