Ms. Angelina K. Benton, 34, was born September 26, 1978 in Oahu, HI to Mr. Edward Charles Benton and Ms. Angela G. Benton. Both her parents served in the United States Military and she lived in many different locations in the United States and overseas. Angelina graduated from Monroe Comprehensive High School where she ran track for the Lady Tornadoes. She received her Associates from the Georgia Police Academy in Forsyth, GA. She spent most of her adult life in Albany, GA and had recently moved to Snellville, GA.
On September 15, 2013, in the prime of life, her earthly stay was tragically cut short and she went to be with her Lord in Heaven. Accompanying her was her beautiful son, Joseph (Suga Bear) McDonald and her godson, Raynard Daniel.
Angelina had a great love for her family. She leaves to cherish her memories, a loving and devoted mother, Angela G. Benton of Albany, GA, father, Charles (Chuck) Benton and his wife, Santonja Benton of Jonesboro, GA, her second mother, and Aunt, Rhetta Benton, three loving children, Quindathion Baldwin, Keyunshay McDonald and Queambria Benton, all of Albany, GA. Three caring siblings, Bridgitt Benton and Sylinia Benton both of Albany, GA and Tracy Benton of Ashville, NC and a godsister, Laketha Clark of Snellville, GA. She also leaves two good friends, Dorothy Foley, Ricky Page, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held Monday, September 23, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Greenbriar Church. Pastor Charlie Dilliard will officiate. Interment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday, September 22, 2013 from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home.
