Anabel Lee Blythe, 90, of Albany, GA died Tuesday, November 12, 2013, at her residence. Memorial service will be held at Radium Springs Casino, starting at 12:00 pm on Saturday, November 16, 2013. Drinks and light refreshments will be provided, please bring your violin and pictures of Mrs. Ann to add to a scrap book. Interment will follow at Andersonville National Cemetery at a later date.
A native of Sedalia, MO, Mrs. Blythe had resided in Albany since 1960. She was a lifetime member of Covenant Presbyterian Church, a civil rights activist, and president of the Radium Springs Garden Club. Mrs. Blythe was a suzuki violin instructor and inducted into the Atlanta Country Music Hall of Fame. She played violin in the Sedalia Symphony, the Albany Symphony, and the Middle Georgia Symphony. She was preceded in death by her husband Carl Edwin Blythe.
She is survived by her son, Frank Blythe of Albany, GA, two daughters, Honey Limehouse (Art) of Central, SC and Angel Freeman of Albany, GA, eight grandchildren, Frank Blythe, Jr., Joshua Blythe, Catherine Ann Koclanes, Blythe Freeman, Jackson Limehouse, Julian Limehouse, Jordan Limehouse, and Sara Limehouse, and one great-grandchild, Joshua Judy.
