Alisa Anderson Penrod, 56, of Hiram, GA died February 2, 2014 at Wellstar Paulding Hospital. Memorial services will be held Thursday February 6, 2014 at 3:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home. Pastor Chester (Chet) T. Anderson, Jr. will officiate.
A native of Albany, GA, Alisa was a 1975 graduate of Westover High School where she participated on the flag corps and drill team, she was a member of the Beta Club, the Annual Staff and the Anchor Club. She attended and graduated from Darton College and she was a member of the First Baptist Church of Albany. Alisa had lived in Hiram, GA since 2006 and was employed by Gentiva Health Services as a registered nurse and a compliance specialist. She was preceded in death by her father Chester T. Anderson, Sr.
Survivors include her mother, Darlene D. Carter and her husband Rod of Edison, GA, a brother Chester T. Anderson, Jr. and his wife, Claudia of Lake Havasu, AZ, two step-sisters, Susan Bodiford and her husband, Raymon and Shannon Watson and her husband, Jonathan all of Newton, GA, two step-brothers Jerome Carter and his wife, Connie of Cairo, GA, Jeffery Carter of Darien, GA, four nieces Carly Anderson and Caitlin Anderson both of Lake Havasu, AZ, Mandy Braswell of McDonald, GA, and Audry Crocker of Rome, GA, two nephews, Michael Crocker and James Crocker both of Lake Havasu, AZ, two uncles Phil Anderson and his wife, Camille of Cuthbert, GA and Fred Darden of Bluffton, GA.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM Thursday, February 6, 2014 at Mathews Funeral Home.
