Alice Rogers

Alice Rogers, 90, of Bronwood, GA, died June 13, 2012 at the Lillian Carter Health and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Grady Morey will officiate. Interment will follow at Leesburg Cemetery.

A native of Perry, FL, Mrs. Rogers spent most of her life in Tallahassee, FL and moved to Bronwood, GA from Lee County, GA in 2009. She retired from the Florida State Industrial Commission and was a member of the Evangel Assembly of God in Tallahassee, FL. Mrs. Rogers was preceded in death by a daughter, Charlotte Rogers Styron and a son, Edgar Rogers, Jr.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Evelyn and Butch Wester of Lee County, GA, seven grandchildren, Ed Rogers, Joanna Lanier, Jonathan J. Ahn, Clint Styron, Marina Hamil, Clay Wester and Heather Waltermon, eleven great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends for one hour before the services at Mathews Funeral Home.
