Alice Henderson Clark

Alice Henderson Clark, 85, of Albany, GA was escorted by Angels to her heavenly home Tuesday, June 4, 2019 from her residence. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 8, 2019 at 3:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Robin Chaplin will officiate. Interment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Clark was born on July 24, 1933 to the late Thomas and Kathleen Henderson in McDowell County, WV. She had resided in Albany, GA since 1952 and was retired from Homestead Pools. Mrs. Clark was a member of Victory Baptist Church and the Adult Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Thomas Clark, a brother, Jake Henderson and three sisters, Dorothy Sikes, Betty Holt and Margie Lairsey.

Survivors include her daughters, Kathy McCorkle (Mark) and Karen Byrd (William) a sister, Shirley Goodson, two grandchildren, Josh McCorkle (Brandi), Lyndsay Byrd Veal and three great-grandchildren, Noah McCorkle, Lilly Ann Veal, Olivia Veal and caregiver, Debbie Weldon all of Albany, GA.

The family will be at the residence of William and Karen Byrd, 1215 Seventh Avenue, Albany, GA, 31707.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 2:00 p.m. until the funeral hour at Mathews Funeral Home.
