Alice O'Neal Adams

Alice O. Adams, 86, of Albany, GA, was called to her Heavenly Home on November 25, 2018. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 30, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Byne Memorial Baptist Church. Rev. Charlie Brown and Rev. Charles Jones will officiate. Interment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.

A native of Coolidge, GA, Mrs. Adams graduated from Coolidge High School where she was the head Cheerleader for the basketball team. She moved from Bainbridge, GA to Albany, GA in 1953. She was a homemaker and mother, and her children have fond memories of her taking them every summer to Mexico Beach, FL. Mrs. Adams, along with her late husband, Connie Adams of over sixty years, owned and operated Hadden’s Flowers until their retirement. Mrs. Adams was a member of Byne Memorial Baptist Church where she taught Children’s Sunday School Class for over forty five years and also sang in the Choir.

Survivors include her children and their spouses, Anne and Randy Gray and Michael Jason and Lanna Adams, Sr. all of Albany, GA and Susan and Seaborn Dell of Augusta, GA, her sister and her husband, Kate and Ronald Spooner of Thomasville, GA, her grandchildren, Jessica (Justin) Scarborough of Blakely, GA, Michael Jason Adams, Jr. of Montgomery, AL, Joel Adams of Albany, GA, April (David) Montgomery of Slapout, AL, Lori (Daniel) Brown of Danville, IN, Eric (Amanda) Scifres of Ashville, NC, Michael (Whitney) Scifres of Auburn, AL, Tommy (Laura) Dell of North Augusta, SC, Tim (Alexandra) Dell of Augusta, GA, Rachel Dell of Danville, IN, Stephen Dell, Carrie Dell and Tiffany Dell all of Augusta, GA and seventeen great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Flowers are welcome, however those desiring may make contributions to Living the Legacy c/o Byne Memorial Baptist Church, 2832 Ledo Rd., Albany, GA, 31707.

The family will be at the residence of Mike and Lanna Adams, 3010 Westgate Dr., Albany, GA, 31721.
