Albert Rizzardi, 84, of Lee County, GA died August 2, 2016 at Wynfield Park Health and Rehabilitation Center. The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.
Mr. Rizzardi was a native of Iron Mountain, MI. After High School, he began working for Yale Rubber Manufacturing Company in Sandusky, MI. Three years later, he served his country during the Korean Conflict in the United States Army. He moved to Dawson, GA in 1960 and became the plant manager of the newly built Yale Rubber Manufacturing Company where he worked for an additional thirty years. Mr. Rizzardi was a former member of the Dawson City Council, served as Mayor of Dawson, GA for two years, was a Boy Scout Leader, and a private pilot.
Mr. Rizzardi moved to Lee County, GA in 1995, and he was a member of Gillionville Baptist Church. Mr. Rizzardi was preceded in death by his wife, Beverley Anne Rizzardi.
Survivors include his children, Pete Rizzardi of Milledgeville, GA and Mary Rizzardi Askew of Albany, GA, a brother, Joe Rizzardi of Jackson, MI and his grandchildren, Joseph Askew and Ansley Askew both of Lee County, GA and Christina Rizzardi of Dublin, GA and his loving companion, Gwendolyn Lankford.
