Alan (Al) V. Jamison

Alan V. (Al) Jamison, 73 of Albany, GA, died September 21, 2015 at his residence. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:00 PM at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Jeremy Lokey will officiate and The Elks Lodge # 713 will provide Funeral Rites. Entombment will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery with the American Legion Post # 30 providing Military Honors.
A native of Baltimore, MD, born to the late Leslie T. Jamison, Sr. and Ann M. Jamison, He joined the United States Marine Corps after graduating from High School and was stationed in Albany, GA in 1960. He was the co-owner of Albany Lighting Center from 1986 until 2012. Mr. Jamison enjoyed racing and loved cars, especially Corvettes. He was a member and served as membership chairman of The Corvette Club of Albany.
He was a member of The Benevolent and Protective Order of The Elk, Lodge # 713, where he served as a Trustee. Mr. Jamison was a member of Triangle Lodge # 708 F & AM, Hasan Shrine Center, a former member of the Royal Order of The Jesters, Court # 159 and the Downtown Exchange Club.
Survivors include his wife, Joanne Davis Jamison of Albany, GA, a son, Roy "Beau" Jamison of Virginia Beach, VA, three daughters, Dana (Jeff) Davis of Lee County, GA, Wendy (Bailey) Morgan of Nashville, GA and Mandy (Larry) Bullington of Lee County, GA, five grandchildren, Kayla Deck of Lee County, GA, Christopher Jamison of Waynesboro, VA, Garrett Bullington, Danielle Davis and Anna Bullington all of Lee County, GA, a great-grandchild, Brody Taylor, two brothers, Fred (Dorothy) Jamison of San Antonio, TX and Bill (Edie) Jamison of York, PA, a sister, Ann (Bob) Duplissa of Phoenix, AZ and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Leslie T. Jamison, Jr. and a sister, Sandra J. Foster.
The family will receive family and friends from 6:30 PM until 8:30 PM Wednesday at their residence and will receive friends at Mathews Funeral Home one hour before the funeral on Thursday.
