Aileen W. Histed

Aileen W. Histed, 98, of Albany, GA died Saturday August 25, 2012 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Graveside funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00 AM at Riverside Cemetery. Rev. Hilton Gillespie will officiate.

A native of Wrightsville, GA, Mrs. Histed had resided in Albany, GA since 1948 moving from Macon, GA. Mrs. Histed was a graduate of Wrightsville High School and G.A.B. Business College. She was a member of the Cherokee Heights Baptist Church and retired from Albany Hardware Company.

Survivors include an uncle, Archie Bush of Tampa, FL, two cousins, Chris Bush and Jimmy Bush of Jacksonville, GA, special friends, Jimmy and Ann Austin of Albany, GA and Ed Prokesha of Leesburg, GA and her loving caregiver, Tammy Jones of Albany, GA. She was preceded in death in 1999 by her husband, William D. Histed.
