A. Robert Goss

Robert Goss, 65, of Leesburg, GA, died December 28, 2015. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday at Mathews Funeral Home. Ross Powell will officiate. Interment will follow in Leesburg Cemetery.

A native of Hawkinsville, GA born to the late Paul and Minnie Goss, Robert graduated from Hawkinsville High School in 1968 and attended Southwest Georgia Technical College in Americus, GA.

Robert moved to Albany, GA in 1975 and to Leesburg, GA in 1994. He was employed with The United States Postal Service for twenty eight years, was a Committee Member of The Members United Credit Union, and Putney Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Joiner Goss of Leesburg, GA, a son, Chad Goss and his wife, Rebecca of Leesburg, GA, two daughters, Angela Avery and her husband, David of Sylvester, GA and Heather McCarty and her husband, Joey of Salem, AL, a brother, Jimmy Goss and his wife, DeeDee of Hawkinsville, GA and five grandchildren, Courtney Avery, Megan Avery, Cameryn Goss, Grayson Goss and Ellyson Goss.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday at Mathews Funeral Home.
