Donny Moss

Donny Gene Moss, 60, of Leesburg, GA passed away Sunday, May 20, 2018 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. The family will have a private Memorial Service on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at 2pm for family and close friends. The Memorial will be held at the residence of Matt and Lindsay Moss.
Donny was born on April 15, 1958 to the late Lonzo and Bernice Moss in Dothan, AL. Donny grew up and attended school in Albany, GA. In 1984 Donny moved and resided to Leesburg, GA. where he worked maintenance for Creek Wood Apartments. In 1995 Donny ventured out to start his own company,
Donny Moss General Contracting.
Donny loved the outdoors. Every chance that he got when not working, he would take off and head to the hunting land or to the lake. Donny raised all three of his son’s to have the same passion as he had for the outdoors. Donny also enjoyed to travel, at any giving moment he would take his wife Mona to the beach for a weekend or you might catch them 6 hours west in Biloxi, Mississippi. There was never a dull moment, Donny was full of life and enjoyed every minute of it. Donny was very protective of his family and friends, he loved his family and sons like no other. But there was a special love he had for all of his grandkids.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years Mona Renee Moss of Leesburg, GA, three sons, Matt Moss and wife Lindsay, Scott Moss and Trent Moss all from Lee County, four sisters, Martha Nobles, Nettie Peterson, Betty Butler and Barbara Moss Mashburn, and seven grandchildren, Brantley Moss, Mallory Moss, Dalton Malone, Braden Moss, Weston Ford, Callie Corley and Keaton Moss.
In addition to his parents, Donny was preceded in death by two sisters, Jimmie Ellrott Brand and
Debra Moss Holton. Also two brothers, Ronnie Gene Moss and Kenneth Gene Moss.
